Jesus-relevant

    Time is of the essence
Most significant worldly element.
As it will begin anew
Graciously presented itself quite eloquent.
Study His Word, follow His command
Be His disciple and share your bold testament.
Do not fret of worldly persecution
Exemplify as His disciple and let your testimony be Jesus-relevant.Gardens

“Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”   Luke 11:28 (ESV)

Dressed for Success

     “My hand will sustain her; surely my arm will strengthen her.”            Psalm 89:21 (NIV)

Is it vital for success, dressing that Sunday best?
The importance lies in our soul.  Surrender, know it is well; with zeal and zest.
Relinquish the earthly life the world helps put to the test.
Stay at His feet.  God will do the rest.

Whatever is lovely

Reflecting on the retired times of our life
The messy worldly ways in modern strife.

Tired of the tears streaming down our face
Brought on by this treacherous human hostile race.

His characteristics of love and being overtly kind
Our cup runneth over in His eternity bind.

I photographed this on a local trail that I love because it is long, safe and intimately provides inspiration, reflection, beauty and His presence.

Wow

 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  Hebrews 13:8 ESV

Time lashes out at you
Zips by your squinting eyes
The fleshy life that once fluttered by
To find at the end it is destined to die
Reach out
Reach up
Get the wow
Take in
Breathe
Feel.
The presence of God is now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   Where do you draw your inspiration?
There are many opportunities in life we can draw and receive inspirations.   Gazing only in my mind being on a beautiful beach looking out endless miles of only seeing God’s beauty.  Or resting in a cabin on a mountain top in the hills of Tennessee.  In that thought, a memory reappeared, sitting in Chattanooga, for a stop on our drive home from Florida around 2009.
I sat on a brick edge up on a hill after a nice rain and seeing God’s promise (a rainbow) far and wide above me; overlooking this sweet place in the valley.   Only to reflect back on that very moment,  trusting in the journey that can be used as a true step closer to God and His will for our life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~    He Intimately Knows.

I believe God reaches down in the innermost of our being
Stitches each wound completely.

The healing that we may not see –
Resting in faith that takes place in you and me.

To be broken means to be out of order;
not functioning properly.

The almighty physician.
Jehovah Rapha.
God the Healer.
None like Thee.

Photographed in my home. Love the signage, “Life takes you to unexpected places, love brings you home.” White, purple and grey hues are soft, confident and resting.

Reflection: change of direction…

When It Adds Value
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”  Philippians 4:8 (ESV)
This is simply an amazing and profound verse!  As I write this verse out countless times the last few months, drawing on each word.  This verse has looked me in the face daily for months; as I embark on a new year to deepen what it means to walk this walk…  Life can be become so rich, meaningful and peaceful by studying God’s Word.
Though I  may fail, words on repeat and stick in my heart and mind (besides those from my own loving pastor), is from the lovely Anne Graham Lotz, “read it and live it out.”
Never thought I would love a book so much.  My Bible.  The true and living guidebook for life.  What a remarkable journey and the blessing to be able to do our best to live it out every day in excellence.   In hopes that we live each day intentionally and with purpose.
 (I love to kayak – probably one of the best and sweetest activities I have ever experienced and this is one of many images I captured in my boat in 2016)

The Center of my Joy

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.’                      Galatians 5:22-23  (ESV)

Grace not perfection

The Center of My Joy
My Heavenly King
My redemptive story
Said I do, wearing His ring
Falling in love with Him more every day.
Love, care and serve and sing.

Be the light
Forgive those who persecute you
Hold the candle
Burning bright.
Point others to the Savior
Ignore Satan who likes to isolate You.

As, when you have Jesus,
any lie you can discern false and untrue.
So you decide.  You must choose.
Will it be satan in black or God in white?
Our Savior will give you a heart transfuse.
Choose excellence with the Ultimate White Knight.
